The seed of founding Verde Mater was planted when Mariana attended the Master’s in Sustainable Fashion at Polimoda. Thanks to her education and the city of Florence, Mariana discovered the beauty of craftsmanship, design and sustainability. But she couldn’t ignore her roots. She wanted to create a product with minimal environmental impact that would also highlight the craftsmanship of her country. By establishing its production in Colombia, Verde Mater aims to provide a high quality sustainable bags that help address the lack of opportunities for artisans in Colombia.
